FAQs
Does TET require gas?
No — TET is a gas-free, propane-free cooker. Both cooking zones run entirely on the integrated LiFePO4 battery system, so you never need gas canisters, propane tanks, or fuel refills.
What cookware works with each zone?
Use induction-compatible cookware — cast iron, enameled iron, or stainless steel with a magnetic base — on the 1500W induction zone. The 800W ceramic zone accepts a wider range of flat-bottom cookware suitable for electric heating.
How many meals can I cook on a single charge?
The 2.3kWh Combo model stores about 2.3kWh of cooking energy — typically enough for 4–6 family meals (boiling, stewing, frying) on a single charge, or a full day of family cooking. The 1.5kWh model covers roughly 3–4 meals.
Can I use both cooktops at the same time?
Yes. On the Combo model, both burners run simultaneously — the 1500W induction zone and the 800W ceramic zone together draw up to 2300W from the built-in battery, so you can boil and fry at the same time.
Can I cook while the station is charging?
Yes, you can cook while the cooker is charging. Just keep cooking oil and liquids away from the charging ports to prevent splashes from entering the sockets.
How fast does it boil water?
On the 1500W induction zone, 1 litre of water reaches a rolling boil in about 4–5 minutes. The 800W ceramic zone is gentler, taking roughly 8–10 minutes for the same amount.
Does it work at high altitude?
Yes. Both zones use flameless electric heating, so high altitude and low air pressure don't affect performance — great for high-altitude camping. (Note: water boils at a lower temperature at altitude, as with any cooking method.)
Does it work in strong wind?
Yes. With no open flame, wind can't blow it out or steal its heat — cooking stays steady even in gusty conditions, and there are no gas fumes.
Can I recharge it with solar panels?
Yes. TET supports solar charging via an XT60 solar input connected to a compatible MPPT controller. The solar panel, MPPT controller, and XT60 male plug are not included and must match the final production specification.
How many charge cycles does the LiFePO4 battery last?
Around 2,000 full charge cycles. LiFePO4 chemistry is built for longevity, so even with daily family cooking, the battery keeps its capacity for years.
What outputs does it have besides cooking?
Besides cooking, TET can charge your devices: a USB port and a USB Type-C port for phones, tablets, and small electronics, plus a 48V DC output for compatible equipment.
Can the station be used in rain?
No. TET is not designed for wet conditions — keep the cooker and all charging equipment dry, and do not use them when wet. When it rains, cook under cover or in the tent vestibule.
Is it safe to cook inside a tent or RV?
Yes. TET cooks with flameless electric heat — no gas, no open flame, and no carbon monoxide — so it's suited to enclosed spaces like tents and RVs. Always keep it on a stable surface and allow airflow around the hot zones.
How loud is it when cooking?
Very quiet. Induction cooking has no burner roar — just a soft hum — so you can hold a conversation right next to it.
Is it safe around kids and pets?
Safe. There's no open flame and no fumes, which removes the main risks of a gas stove. Just keep children and pets away from the hot cooking surface — the same rule as any stove.
How long is the warranty?
TET provides a two-year limited warranty on the cooker, starting from the purchase date, subject to the final published terms and exclusions.
Where will it be available?
Market availability opens once product, transport, warehouse, and compliance requirements are complete. Sign up for launch updates to be notified as soon as TET is available in your region.
What's in the box?
Production packaging details, including the final charging adapter, are pending approval. The solar panel and MPPT controller are not included — they're needed only for solar charging.
How much does it weigh? Will it fit in my car?
The 1.5kWh model weighs 18.35 kg and the 2.3kWh Combo weighs 33.7 kg (gross weight). Both fit in most car trunks and SUV cargo areas — the cooker measures 60.2 × 31.5 × 35 cm.
How is it shipped? How long does delivery take?
We ship by ground freight, with delivery across the U.S. in 2–7 days.
